Help, service status and what's new, in one menu
Help, at the bottom of the sidebar, now has Service status, which shows whether Firmdesk is up and what we're doing about a problem, and What's new: this page. The sign-in page links to the help centre and the status page too.

The help centre
Fifteen articles at help.firmdesk.ca, from getting started to exporting your data, in the app's own words. Help in the sidebar lists the three about the page you're on.
Request templates, and one request for many clients
Requests › Templates keeps the requests you send again and again, starting with a T1 checklist, a year-end list and a new client's list. Send one to many clients at once: each client gets its own to fill in.
You can also invite many clients to the portal at once, from Portal access › Invite clients.

Import your client list, and set up their services in one go
Import clients from a spreadsheet, under Clients, reads your columns' names in English or French and shows what each row will do before anything is saved. Then Set up services gives many clients a service at once, with a preview of their deadlines.

Explore a sample firm
Try things out in a made-up firm of your own, with a year of work in it, before you bring in your clients. Nothing in it is emailed to anyone, and it's deleted after 30 days, or in one click.
Your data, whenever you want it
Settings › Export and delete makes one file of everything your firm keeps in Firmdesk: a spreadsheet for each kind of record, and every document. Settings › Activity shows who signed in, and who opened, downloaded or shared each document.
Two-factor sign-in
Sign in with a code from an authenticator app as well as your password. Owners and admins always do, and a firm can require it of everyone. The portal emails your clients a code when they sign in; you can turn that off in Settings › Portal.
